A teacher? Really? That’s interesting… I’m not a huge fan of kids, as it figures. But I suppose being seen as someone capable of being a teacher is a good thing, yes?

I still think you’re a perfectly credible Detective Inspector and no one will convince me otherwise. The entire incident was just… bad luck. And well… I still believe in him. And in you.
And good! Though hopefully you’ll be a little bit more sober when we meet, yes? I don’t know how well you’ll be able to handle caffeine if you’re completely pissed drunk.
Of course. Generally it means they’re nice, they’re patient, and they are good with kids even if they don’t like ‘em all too much.

…Thanks, Molls. You won’t believe how much that means to me. And it wasn’t really bad luck, it was more the arseholes that are Donovan and Andergit, but…yeah. I hated it all.
Don’t worry, I know to stay sober when I need to stay sober. And I handle cafffeine by trying to cancel out the caffeine with alcohol.
I never got to meet Donovan and Anderson but.. It does seem as though they had a bit of influence in what happened.. But I guess I can’t really judge them before I meet them. That wouldn’t be very fair.

Well that’s good. Do let me know whenever you have the time! I’ve been needing a night off anyway and the boss says that I can take one whenever I need to since I’ve been working so frequently. Nice of him.

That is quite the assortment of questions! But I’ll do my best to answer them all.
Do I like working in the morgue? Of course I do. It’s nice and quiet in there and dead bodies don’t tend to criticize when I decide to sing to myself.
The reason I decided to work there is sort of a jumble, even to me! It was a job that I sort of stumbled upon after deciding to follow pathology, which was a very interesting field in and of itself! So when I was offered the job, I sort of just jumped at the opportunity to practice what I’d studied!
I would say that there are a fair amount of people who are disturbed by what I do… But my closest friends don’t seem to mind. They’ve grown used to it.
My favorite color is probably pink! As if it isn’t obvious.

Oh, hello Greg.
I’m.. doing alright. All things considered.
Yes, I’m still at the morgue. Still spending most of my day with dead bodies. Living the dream.

What about you…? How are you holding up?

Ah, well, it never gets borin’, does it? Would kill to have your job. Or, you know, perhaps I wouldn’t. Homicide is fine, but I don’t like bein’ around the bodies so much.

I’m doing…fine, I suppose. A little drunker than usual, but, hell, it could have gone a lot worse, I guess. And I’m not in Homicide anymore, which is a low blow. And there was the divorce and the wife got custody of Kristy, m’kid, you remember her? But…yeah. Could’ve been worse. Could be dead!
Well it’s certainly not a job for everyone… I guess I’m not sure why I’m not troubled by it. Everyone tells me that my job doesn’t fit my demeanor. I suppose they’re right.

You’re not in homicide anymore? Why on earth not? You were a fine Detective Inspector! One of the best!
I’m sorry. I suppose that’s a bit of harsh news. And I’m sure the drinking is justified..
Would you like to go out for some coffee sometime? Maybe it will help?
No. If I went to high school with ya, I would’ve pegged you as a school teacher or summat like that. But you do good at your job, so I s’pose it doesn’t matter ‘bout your demeanor, does it?

Why, thanks, Molls, but…you know, after that whole Sherlock thing, my credibility went down. I’m lucky I wasn’t fired. I would’ve quit anyway, eventually…
Hah, you’re the first person who tells me my drinkin’s justified, you know that? ‘s funny. Thanks.
Coffee? Drunk and buzzed on caffeine? Sounds good, Molls.

“Of course I don’t expect everything to be the same,” Sherlock muttered, slightly taken aback that Molly would even dare to snap back at him. “It’s just absolutely preposterous to have to make a point that things have changed. I don’t wish to be forever boggled in thoughts of sentiment when I could have made progress in something more deserving of my attention elsewhere.”
Molly sighed, taking a few steps towards Sherlock, her gaze softening.
“You don’t have to be ‘forever boggled’,” she murmured, fiddling with her lab coat slightly. “But showing a bit of realization of what your actions did to everyone else would be nice.”
She folded her arms, looking away.

Hello all!
I’m trying my best to keep up with this blog, but it’s taking me a little bit to actually pick up on Molly and her mannerisms and whatnot.
But I’d be very happy to RP with anyone from any fandom who comes across this blog, so don’t hesitate to initiate something! :D It would certainly help me develop her character and get a feel for her. All of my other characters are pretty different from hers, so it’s a sort of radical adjustment.
Alternatively, feel free to send Molly some questions to answer. :>
Looking forward to meeting some of your characters!
Love,
Sarah

Sherlock saw through Molly’s façade immediately, and opened his mouth to retort her horrible acting skills, but closed his mouth again when she talked about John.
“What’s there to be worried about?” Sherlock insisted. “There’s no reason why everything shouldn’t be fine. It’s such a silly notion to come back and be sobby about reunions.”

“It’s not silly,” Molly snapped, her brow furrowing. He certainly was impossible.
“You were gone for three years,” she reminded him. “Surely there’s got to be some ramifications for that? You can’t just come back after being dead for that long and expect everything to be the same as it was.”
For a moment, Molly was reminded of how his absence had affected her. And though she knew that he had been perfectly fine throughout those years, it had still hurt knowing that he was so far away.

“Still can’t hold a conversation, can you,” he gave her that look of his that he gave everyone; that one that dictated that he’d suddenly rather be alone. “Molly?”

Molly knew the look he was giving her all too well. But for some reason… she felt compelled to play dumb. She wanted him to talk to her for once. She wanted to make sure that he was okay.
She assumed that spending three years from your best friend would certainly take a toll and her worry for him was evident.
“I just-” she paused a moment, considering what she was about to say. “I just want to make sure that you’re okay. It’s like you just… came back and everything was absolutely fine.”
Molly swallowed hard.
“I worry about you sometimes…”

Well.. some people derive happiness from the attention that they get from others. Or, more likely, the attention that they get from one specific individual. If that person isn’t looking at you, it’s hard to be sure that they’ll ever pay attention to you.
And that’s something that can make you sad… If you let it.
